LaSalle
Pass, May 2006
Had
a great time out in the Colorado forest with Mark Wilde and his
wife, two kids; Ray and his son; and Larry and his (grown) son,
Luke. Nice relaxing, laid back time, just what the doctor ordered.
:) The trail, proper, was easy dirt road and a pleasant drive with
nice mountain scenery.
We
took a run up a side trail to the top of Badger Mountain which was
a bit rockier trail. Lunch was had at the top (various fare including
some fairly decent sandwiches from the Conoco... and jalapeno chips...
and vienna sausages). :)
Weather
was nice, 60's, cool breezes. Started to cloud over towards the
afternoon.
Larry
had to head out early, while the rest of the gang headed down and
completed the La Salle Pass trail taking us back to 24 by about
2:30 or so, then we fought traffic back to the Springs.
No
carnage to report. Larry's stock rig performed perfectly (those
stock rigs do quite well).
