79 Jeep Cherokee "S"

• Purchased August 1996 Purchase price - $370 
• 1979 Cherokee "S" four door 
• Official color -"Russet Orange" (it just looks like primer!) 
• 360 V8 Turbo Hydramatic 400
• BW1339 - Quadratrac
• Dana 44 front and Rear
• Power rear glass
• purchased just to fix up stock and have as an extra vehicle (guess I forgot about that)

Modifications:

• Front towhooks
• Dual steering stabilizers with custom mounts
• Converted A/C compressor to onboard air compressor
• TFI conversion
• Tom Wood custom front driveshaft
• 4" Superlift lift and 2" body lift - 35x12.50 BFG Mud Terrains
• 4.10 gears installed
• Transfer case skid plate
• Removed rust from quarters and added diamond plate
• Added factory-style body stripe
• In-tank fuel pump
• Loc-Rite in rear
• 2.5  inch exhaust with oversize catalytic converter and a glasspack

 
Future Plans: 

• I'm pretty content with the truck at the moment, but like the weather, I'm sure that will change. After doing all the work to it  myself, I don't really feel like doing more.  
• I would like to add ARB's so I can have the best of both worlds
• I've got some rocker guards in the works
• A four barrel manifold and Quadrajet have been on my mind for quite some time
• I'm still working in getting that winch I've always wanted.

For now, my wife Kelly and I will just keep driving it and having fun.
