Most of this trail is narrow shelf road, and since traffic travels in both directions, use caution.
We hope to have specific directions to get onto this trail from Telluride. For right now we only have directions to traverse this pass in the opposite direction.
From the south end of Ouray, you want to turn right onto FR 853/C361 and head up parallel with Canyon Creek. Just past Camp Bird Mine, you'll take the turn off to Imogene Pass. You'll pass a turnoff a bit before Imogene Pass to the right that leads to Upper Camp Bird. Once over Imogene, you'll drop down into Telluride.
From Telluride you can take one of a couple of routes back to Ouray, including by way of Last Dollar Mountain Road to Dallas Divide and on to Ridgway, then head south on 550 back to Ouray.
